Double Umbrella Stroller

Double strollers, as popular as they are, still have their shortcomings. It really, really surprises me that so many manufacturers (including some like Maclaren and Phil and Ted’s) are still putting out double strollers without sufficient canopy surface area to keep sun out of baby’s eyes and other weather can even be more dangerous. It is simply not acceptable. A double umbrella stroller is specifically made to be used in areas where hot, UV-blasting sun rays are the norm, or where rain is prevalent.

Basically, double umbrella strollers will have a large canopy that covers both babies’ or toddlers’ faces, and prevents sun damage to their skin on faces and legs which are uncovered a lot of the time in hotter environments and equally as susceptible to damage from UV rays as the face. The canopy should have fabric at the back to also shield the necks from rain droplets or direct sun exposure. In addition to all this, though, you would need part of the canopy to look through to see what your children are up to; whether they are sleeping or fighting etc. This transparent canopy need only be small, because if it’s too large it will actually allow sun to come through and find your children. You should also get a double umbrella stroller that is quite high in standing if you are tall, otherwise you will need to slouch over to push, and this can be bad for your back and your frustration will be interpreted by your children.
