For parents that are constantly on the go or traveling, a travel system double stroller will be a great solution to several problems. Usually, a double stroller travel system is just like a regular double stroller except for a few important differences. Chief of these is the adaption and inclusion of car seats into the stroller. Usually, the car seats are included in the package you will receive, but other times the travel system does not include these and the car seats will cost you a pretty penny extra.
Double stroller travel systems are available in both tandem and side by side configurations. A tandem travel system sees one child sitting in front of the other, and the double stroller can usually be easily folded once the seats are taken out and placed into the car and strapped in. The side by side strollers get more bulky and wide than they usually are as the car seats demand more wide space, meaning your babies are either right next to each other (which may annoy either or both) or spaced apart and therefore impossible to take shopping and fit through doors and such. They can get really bulky!
If you’re going to go after a double stroller travel system, look for one that definitely includes the car accessories and car seats, and also has a drink holder for the parent (you!). You may get very dehydrated going on long trips with your little bundles of joy, especially in hilly and off-road areas where you will be pushing a lot.
