For parents with twins, or expectant parents who have found out they will receive a double shot of happiness into their lives, the stroller choice is very important. A double stroller can mean the difference between a joyful trip outdoors or a horrible experience that makes you just want to drop everything and come straight back home. So many factors exist for so many different sets of circumstances, hence the huge number of double baby strollers out there. As far as double strollers go, a few different types exist, such as double jogging strollers, tandem strollers, double umbrella strollers and so on.

Buying double strollers online is a great option, as most online retailers now have very helpful features, such as video reviews and in-depth reviews, so do check out online outlets as, even if you do not decide to purchase online, you’ll be able to do the bulk of your initial research and not look clueless when you get out to the store you plan to come away from with your baby stroller.

Some things to look out for in good double strollers for your baby: a hand-brake, which makes it very easy to stop your double stroller safely during a trip; a quick release harness which will allow you to easily release your babies from from their double stroller seats and belts — trust me, you’ll want this out and about, because sometimes you’re just so frustrated and a little thing like struggling to unclip the harness can push you over the edge!; and lastly, an easy folding frame is great for transportation — ideally, you’d want to be able to fold your double stroller with just one hand.

One other feature that will probably come in handy is a padded push bar. It amazes me that some manufacturers (like Graco and Peg Perego with some of their models) still distribute strollers and double baby strollers with metal push bars that are not padded on either side. I can’t imagine how much this must annoy some parents pushing the stroller around for some time.
