When purchasing a double stroller, parents will be faced with one very important decision: to get a tandem double stroller or a side by side double stroller. The differences are huge, not just in the operation, but also psychologically for your children. I know, there’s a lot of though to put in here, but it will pay off once you make the correct decision for you.
The advantages of the side by side stroller are that both babies (or toddlers, or toddler and baby) have a great view. Sometimes with the tandem models there will be fighting over who gets the front seat and it will always be mom and dad who is the bad guy for relegating one child to the back seat. So with both children having a good view in their stroller seats (both secured in their seats with harnesses), everything is cool and gravy, yes? Nooo. Let me explain! Now this totally depends on your children, but a lot (I have found about forty percent of all kids in situations I have observed) simply don’t like to be right next to each other. Some parents try to force this bonding (including a tactic of only have one bottle so they need to share) but each baby and toddle may want his or her own space. So as you’re strolling through your city, you may hear crying and more crying.
Sometimes it’s not the fact that it’s a side by side double stroller, but in fact that the stroller has been constructed with the stroller seats too close to each other. Manufacturers sometimes do this to make the stroller slimmer and therefore more viable for shopping trip and adventures into other crowded areas or CBDs and so on. So there. a lot to take in, but for the sake of your babies, you’ll be able to put some thought into this here and come up with the correct decision.
