For the modern parent in this economy, securing a cheap double stroller for their newborn twins or to accomodate one older just-about-toddler and younger baby, is absolutely necessary. There are simply too many other things to worry about. Affordable double strollers are not that hard to find. You can check out your local nursery and baby products department store, or better yet, check online. Online merchants know that they are competing country-wide, whereas your local outlet only needs to compete against one or two other places. So do check online, if only to see hwat the best possible price is for your particular stroller (the one you’re after, if you’ve got one in mind).
Cheap double strollers can also be quite feature-rich. A lot of the cheaper Graco models even have a nice, solid construction, and you can probably find a double baby stroller with easy folding action at an affordable price.
On top of these mini-luxuries, getting one with a more cotton blend of material isn’t too hard as well, and you should check to make sure that the material is easily washable; some double strollers will allow you to practically take most of the material right off and throw it all into a washing machine or into a tub to soak in for hand washing. I have recently seen a few cheap Peg Perego models with free rain covers (pram covers that are plastic and shield from rain all around). Try to get one with an adjustable canopy as well so you can open the thing up on a mild day where the sun isn’t out to damage your children’s skin.
